Mission Trip by Lisa Ellis McInroy

The missionaries we met, in Roatan Honduras, were Travis and Tish Morin of "Growing for tomorrow Ministry",
David and Heather Granada on Friday mornings of "Bread for Bight" in the little community of Punta Caliente
We were able to meet both and help with both Ministries

Marmora Pentecostal Church was where our team was put together
Our team Leaders are Bruce and Ruth Berger

They are in Honduras to help with the missionaries that are there.

Our team was able to raise enough money to help send 70 plus children back to school. For them to go back to school they need a back pack full of school supplies, a new uniform, and shoes. In the back pack they will get toiletries, new underwear, and socks.. If they don't have this, they are unable to attend school.
There was money raised for Krystals ministry to help with food and snacks. She also received a new fridge, stove, and washer. Krystals ministry looks after 25 children daily, The 25 children live right there with her. She also does a ministry where she feeds 50 more children who come on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays. She provides them with a bible devotion, singing, and prays for them and than they leave with supper. What a wonderful experience to see!!

When we were at Krystals, the men were able to help fix the roof, fix the girls bedroom, help build an outside sink so they can brush their teeth and wash their hands. While we were there, Krystal had a unexpected house inspection, so we were able to help her out. We also were able to take games, colouring books, toys, balls, bracelets, and craft supplies. We were able to be with the kids for four days.. We got to play and be with the children, and help out in many ways. What a rewarding time there with the kids!!

These children don't have much but they showed their gratefulness to us everyday and always had a smile on their faces.

We were able to go into the rehab center for a half a day, where we were able to have a time of devotions with the men, and were able to hear their stories and testimonies of what God has done in their lives. We were able to pray with them and talk with them. What an awesome experience that was!!

On our last morning, we were able to help at the "Bread for Bight" ministry in the little community of Punta Caliente which is a very very poor community. They have a family church service and afterwards, they feed the children and adults. The worship service was amazing and Pastor David was a great speaker. The team was able to help serve the lunch..

Over all, we had a wonderful and rewarding week. I'm sure I can speak for us all, it was all of us that was changed.
